No, it’s not an error! Decades ago, Porsche was known for its six-cylinder engine vehicles – not vans. Porsche used Volkswagen buses from its parent company as support vehicles for their race teams.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDeutschland Design then takes us to 1971, when a small German tuning company of former Mercedes engineers took a damaged sedan and transformed it into a racing hero. That company was AMG, and their infamous “Rote Sau” – which translates to “Red Pig” in German – finished 2nd at the 24 Hours of Spa endurance race.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMeanwhile, in the 1986 Paris-Dakar Rally, two Porsche 959 rally cars finished one-two in their class. It was an epic achievement, and that famous livery has become iconic.
